The Rivers State Government has launched a manhunt for the engineer handling the collapsed two-story structure in Rumuoke Street, at Okilton crossroads in Ada George, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state. Despite the fact that four injured persons had been evacuated from the site, the authorities claimed that it was still looking for more victims. The government, through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tammy Danagogo, demanded the immediate arrest of the engineer in charge of the building's construction.

June 30, 2023The Rivers State Government has launched a manhunt for the engineer handling the collapsed two-story structure in Rumuoke Street, at Okilton crossroads in Ada George, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

The government, through the Secretary to the State Government , Tammy Danagogo, demanded the immediate arrest of the engineer in charge of the building's construction. He said, “The government directs the immediate arrest of the construction engineer of the collapsed building for proper investigation.”

He continued: “We warn professionals in the building sector of our state to henceforth comply strictly with all necessary regulations as the Rivers State Government will not condone any deviation from extant laws and regulations in the sector.
