Residents of Taraba State are once again facing severe challenges due to the ongoing power outage that has left the entire state in darkness. DAILY POST observed that the blackout is affecting not only Taraba, but also the entire northeastern geopolitical zone of Nigeria.
The power outage, which began last Sunday, has severely disrupted business activities in the state, compounding the economic difficulties already confronting the people. The prolonged blackout is raising concerns among locals as it has begun to deepen financial strain on both individuals and businesses. Some of the people who spoke with DAILY POST said the blackout, which began four days ago, has not only slowed down their businesses but has also further made life cumbersome for them.
' Emmanuel, who gets his daily source of living from his barbing salon, said the present economic predicament has made it impossible for him to make use of his generator in the absence of power. 'This barbing salon is the only business my family and I depend on for survival. I am not a salary earner, so for the past three days, life has not been easy for me at all.
