A fire outbreak, on Tuesday, destroyed a section of the Ogbo Ogwu market in Onitsha, Anambra state.

The fire was said to have been caused by a “chemical explosion”, but tge Anambra state government says investigation into the incident is going. “I just received the news of the inferno at Ogbo Ogwu International Market, Bridge Head, Onitsha, following a suspected chemical explosion in the area. I am saddened by the loss of lives, many injuries and material losses recorded,” the tweet reads.
