Police are offering a reward of up to $500,000 for information into the murder of Simon Crisp who was shot dead outside a tavern in 2013.

Mr Crisp, 44, was fatally shot outside Marrawah Tavern on Tasmania’s remote north-west coast on July 13, 2013 and his death has since been the subject of an"intensive" police investigation.

Police are rewarding up to $500,000 for information that leads to the prosecution of the person or people responsible for Simon Crisp's murder. It is understood Mr Crisp had gone to the tavern that night to help his then partner Allison Summers close the pub after her shift. In July of 2014, nearly a year after his death, police had offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information that could lead to the prosecution.
