An ex-vice president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Monday Ubani, has urged the government to release, unconditionally, journalist and activist, Agba Jalingo, who is being held by the Police.
Jalingo was also alleged to have accused Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, of financial impropriety running into N500m that had been earmarked for a microfinance scheme. It may be recalled that human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, spoke in the same vein on Sunday.
