THE Committee of Federal Polytechnic Rectors has appointed the Rector of The Federal Polytechnic, Kaura-Namoda, Zamfara State, Dr Yahaya Bande, as its chairman.
According to a statement made available to our correspondent on Sunday, the decision was taken during the 29th regular meeting of the committee, which was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the National Board for Technical Education, Liaison Office, Abuja.
“Until his election, Dr Bande was the North-West Zonal Coordinator of COFER and he will hold the post of the chairman until his tenure as rector, Federal Polytechnic, Kaura-Namoda expires.”The statement also listed other elected officials of the committee to include Prof. Aliyu Mamman as vice-chairman, and Dr Taofeek A. Abdul-Hameed as Oyo State Treasurer.
