The Realme C55 is now in Malaysia starting at just RM699, it offers features such as a large 6.72-inch, 90Hz display with a software-based take on Apple's Dynamic Island.

, with those who buy the Realme C55 on these platforms able to get a pair of Realme Buds 2, a Realmeow keychain and a screen crack warranty for free. Those who get the phone from one of their authorised retailers meanwhile will get the 6 months of warranty for free. You can also purchase the Realme C55 from their TikTok store, with buyers there getting the Realme Buds 2 for free.On first glance, the Realme C55 appears to be a pretty standard smartphone. It packs a pretty large 6.

It may look like there’s a regular selfie camera housed in the punch hole, but thanks to some software wizardry it’s actually the centre of Realme’s Mini Capsule feature. Basically, Mini Capsule has the system UI expand the punch hole cutout to the left and right of the central punch hole, allowing it to display information such as notifications, charging status, battery percentage, data usage, step counter and more. You’ll also find custom ‘dynamic light’ animations on it too.

Under the hood meanwhile, the Realme C55’s more entry-level specs begin to appear. It’s powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 system-on-chip mated to up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage. You’ll also be able to add up to 1TB of expandable storage too. It comes with Android 13 out of the box with Realme UI 4.0 skinned over it, and if the included 8GB of RAM isn’t enough you can add up to 8GB of additional virtual RAM too.

In the camera department meanwhile, the Realme C55 has a dual camera setup, though chances are you’ll only ever use the main 64MP camera that’s flanked by a 2MP portrait sensor. Nevertheless, Realme Malaysia does claim that the C55 has this smartphone segment’s first ever 64MP camera. Selfies meanwhile get taken care of via the 8MP front facing camera sitting in that Mini Capsule punch hole cutout.

Other features of note include a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging that Realme says will be able to fully charge the device in just 63 minutes. There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with a mono speaker that goes up to 200% in volume for extra loud sound. Weighing in at 189.5g and measuring 7.89mm thick, the Realme C55 will be available in Sunshower and Rainy Night colour options.
