Former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau’s advice to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to scrap the National Assembly in the bid to reduce the cost of governance, has elicited sharp reactions from some citizens of Kwara State.

Reacting to Shekarau’s position, an elder statesman in Ilorin, Alhaji Lasisi A.K.Jimoh and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, said “the National Assembly is created by the Constitution so, Tinubu cannot do away with it. “But that cannot be achieved unless Mr President, Asiwaju Tinubu, resists the temptation to indulge in RUB MY BACK, I RUB YOUR OWN partnership with them. That one go easy so?” he queried.
