Mr Haruna Barnabas of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been declared the winner of the re-run election in Chawai/Kauri in the Kauru federal
The Returning Officer, Professor Mohammed Sani Salau said Haruna Barnabas scored 23, 687 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Yohana Chawai with 23,656 votes.
He said the House of Assembly election in the constituency had been declared inconclusive after the March 18, House of Assembly election and two polling units, in two wards were rescheduled for the re-run election.
