The RTE star previously opened up about his doubts over the show having two presenters
RTE star Ray D’Arcy has admitted he was "proven wrong" as he praised Kathryn Thomas for bringing a "new energy" to the Rose of Tralee.
But Ray – who returned from his summer holidays – said he was "proven wrong" with the "double hander".He said on his RTE Radio 1 show: "I was proven wrong. I thought they did a brilliant job and Kathryn brought a new energy to the thing. "It seemed to work perfectly, and you can say what you like about the Rose of Tralee… but I thought it worked.
"Alternating – I don’t think that is going to work either because although the result is usually decided on the judges having interviews with the Roses, and they have a number of those over the 10 days or whatever, still people at home will think that maybe you’re at an advantage or a disadvantage being interviewed by Daithi or Kathryn. So they are not going to do that.
