African No. 1, Aruna Quadri, is hoping to emulate Nigeria table tennis legends Segun Toriola and Funke Oshonaike and play till he is over 40.
In a chat with our correspondent, the 31-year-old said the duo had been a motivation and opened doors for many table tennis players in the country.
“They are both inspiration to most of us and I hope I can emulate them because they have paved the way for us in the sport. “They have motivated a lot of us in table tennis and their fame and performance opened doors for most of us. I hope to continue to play particularly now that I’ve joined a club in Germany, where you have to be at your best every time because only the best play in Bundesliga. I will continue to work hard and ensure I keep fit always.”
