Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has said Kylian Mbappe has “no excuse” to leave the club, following Lionel Messi’s arrival.
Messi was officially presented to the media on Wednesday morning, after signing a bumper two-year deal with the option of a third.Mbappe will be able to leave on a free transfer next summer as things stand. But Al-Khelaifi has insisted that the signing of Messi shows that PSG is a more attractive option than LaLiga or the Premier League.
He said: “I think we have the most competitive team. Now there is no choice for Kylian but to stay here in Paris.“He is a really competitive player. He wants to win, he wants to win trophies, he said it in public. “He wanted a competitive team and I think we have got the most competitive in the world. So there is no excuse for him now. He can’t do anything else but stay.”
