Nigerian prophet Odumeje is facing accusations of staging fake miracles after a woman falsely claimed to have purchased a N500 million mansion thanks to his prophecy. The woman, Loveth Aluu, later admitted to fabricating her testimony, and the real estate company that owns the mansion confirmed it was never sold. Odumeje denies any involvement.
A Nigeria n prophet, Odumeje , has been accused of using fake miracles to deceive members of his ministry into making donations. The controversy erupted after a woman, Loveth Aluu , falsely testified at Odumeje 's Night of Open Heaven, a daily online prayer program, claiming that a prophecy by the prophet had led to her buying a N500 million mansion in Lagos State.
Aluu's testimony went viral, with Odumeje celebrating the supposed miracle and encouraging his congregation to 'claim' similar blessings. However, last week, Aluu was seen selling bottled water and soft drinks in a small shop in Enugu State. A video circulating on Facebook showed Aluu admitting that she had fabricated her testimony about the mansion. It emerged that Aluu had visited the mansion, owned by Robo Consults, a construction and real estate firm, under the pretense of having a client interested in buying the property. During her visit, she secretly filmed herself inside the mansion, claiming she had already purchased it. Robo Consults confirmed that the mansion was not sold and that Aluu had misled the public. The company stated that Aluu was in police custody and that they would pursue legal action against all those involved in the scheme. Odumeje, accused of orchestrating fake miracles, denied any involvement in Aluu's fabrication. He claimed that an unnamed priest contracted bloggers to spread false accusations against his ministry. Odumeje vowed to investigate the matter and find those responsible for sending Aluu to his ministry.
