The Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), The Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba is 60 years today.
And to mark the diamond jubilee, the Diocese of Abuja has scheduled a special Thanksgiving Service, today, at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life-Camp, Abuja.
Ndukuba, who is also the Bishop of Abuja, as well as the Manager of Ibru Centre and Chairman, Board of Governors of the Trinity Foundation, was born on July 18, 1961 to Mr. and Mrs. Silas O. Ndukuba of Ogberuru in Orlu Local Council of Imo State. He was educated at Bishop Shanahan College, Orlu; Theological College of Northern Nigeria Bukuru; Durham University, England and Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey , where he obtained a Bachelor of Divinity , M.A in Systematic Theology and M.A.
Prior to episcopal ministry, Ndukuba also served as Parish Priest, Archdeacon and Seminary Lecturer and Dean. At his inauguration as the Primate, Church of Nigeria on March 25, 2020, he declared his tenure a “Decade of Reign of God.” And within one year in office, Archbishop Ndukuba has impacted different sectors of the church, setting the entire church on holistic mission and transformation.
Executive Archdeacon of the Diocese of the West, Myles Calvin, once said about him: “Archbishop Ndukuba is a gentleman. A British upper class and well connected man was being interviewed by a newspaper. He said a gentleman is someone that puts others at ease , especially when there are differences in power, position, class and so on. That is Archbishop Ndukuba. I observed him constantly, as he humbly engages with others and puts them at ease while being in charge.
The entire Ibru Ecumenical Centre wish the Chairman, Primate of Church of Nigeria , His Grace, The Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, a Happy 60th Birthday!
