Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, has expressed concern over the rising cost of food items, describing the situation as 'worrisome and unbearable' for many Nigerians.
He noted that despite measures like the federal government’s food waiver policy and interventions by the Central Bank of Nigeria, food prices remain prohibitively high. 'The situation on the prices of food is becoming worrisome and extremely unbearable for the masses. Many households can no longer afford nutritional meals, while many are begging for survival,' he said.He urged the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission to continue to protect the interests of consumers.
