Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human rights activist, talks about the legal implications of the dethronement and banishment of Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi withWas Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, right to remove Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, from office?

A former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar , said in an interview with VOA Africa service that Sanusi wouldn’t have been removed if Buhari had intervened. What do you think about the allegations levelled against Sanusi, which include financial impropriety? Do you think the state lawmakers can initiate an impeachment proceeding against Ganduje for not allowing them to do their work before removing Sanusi as emir?
