It is no longer news that the Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Ever since the news was made public, citizens of the state have been praying for the governor’s quick recovery, with some of them hoping that he doesn’t have any underlying health conditions that could hinder his restoration to good health.
Meanwhile, Fayemi is the seventh governor to test positive for the virus that has claimed a number of political heavyweights in the country. The unenviable roll call includes Seyi Makinde , Nasir El-Rufai , Bala Mohammed , Ifeanyi Okowa , Okezie Ikpeazu and Rotimi Akeredolu . As the Ekiti governor continues to receive treatment, Society Plus gathered that eminent personalities from across the country have been sending goodwill messages to him. Fayemi is also said to be in high spirits and has not let the virus weigh him down, even as he keeps in touch virtually with members of his cabinet. All rights reserved.
