It was a touching sight on Monday as the remains of a policewoman, Remilekun Adeyanju, attached to the Isanlu Police Station in Kogi State, were interred at a cemetery.

Born on April 19, 1980, Remilekun was killed last Thursday by daredevil robbers, who invaded the police station while she was on duty.

Remilekun’s corpse, conveyed in a hearse from the Isanlu Mortuary, was followed by sympathisers to a cemetery in her hometown, Ekinrin-Adde, where she was buried. “We are sad with what happened. But we rest our hope in God. We trust Him to protect us and the only son she left behind,” Ibidun stated. Meanwhile, the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has released the sum of N10m for the burial rites of the victims of the Isanlu bank robbery.
