Commissioner of Police, Eastern Ports, Moshood Jimoh, has issued a stern warning against vandalism of seaport facilities in Rivers State.
Jimoh gave this warning on Thursday in Port Harcourt while speaking at a conference organised by the Coalition of Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria, COMJAN, with the theme, 'Advancing Global Logistics in the Blue Economy'.
”We shall remain committed in our efforts to build a formidable force against vandals and criminal elements at the seaports,” he said. On his part, Area 1 Comptroller, Nigeria Customs Service, Mr Mustapha Hashim, commended COMJAN for the conference, describing it as timely. Represented by his deputy, DC Ezenwa Ifeyinwa, the comptroller said that the conference would strengthen synergy amongst maritime economy stakeholders.
