Police rescue kidnapped victim, arrest suspect in Bayelsa

Bayelsa State Police Command has announced the release of a kidnapped victim, Dr Eleweremi Samuel after spending 17 days in kidnappers’ den.

According to the police, Dr Samuel was kidnapped at his residence in Yenagoa on July 22, 2020 and was released by the abductors on August 8, 2020 after intense pressure from the operatives of Operation Puff Adder.The police spokesman, SP Asinim Butswat, who announced this in a statement in Yenagoa on Tuesday, said Operatives of Operation Puff Adder, in the state are intensifying efforts to arrest other suspects.
