Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ari Muhammed Ali, has presented N26.1m cheques to seven families of officers, who died in active service in the state.
Presenting the cheques to the next of kin of the seven deceased officers, Ali said the money was part of the Inspector General of Police’s, Alkali Baba Usman, insurance welfare scheme.
The beneficiaries thanked the IGP for his magnanimity, disclosing that the money will be used judiciously. Others decorated were the Command’s Finance Officer , Superintendent of Police Ogungbagbe Opeyemi; the Commander Crack Squad, SP John Agaga and four others promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendents of Police.
