Police nab four Bauchi kidnappers, rescue victims

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Thursday.

“The policemen smoked the area and successfully rescued two victims namely Mohammed Jungudo, male and Maimuna Mohammadu, female, both of Tafawa Balewa unhurt.

“During interrogation, the rescued victims recognised and identified four of the kidnappers as Korau Buba, male of Burgel village, Tafawa-Balewa LGA; Sulaiman Adamu, male of Yangan village in Tafawa Balewa LGA; Haladu Abdullahi, male of Tudunwuss Dass LGA and Ibrahim Adamu, male of Bunjang village Dass LGA.”

According to him, operatives were quickly drafted to the area and they succeeded in arresting the suspects who confessed to having committed the crime. Wakil said the investigation was ongoing and that the suspects would be charged in court at the end of the investigation.All rights reserved.
