The police on Monday began a manhunt for the abductors of Madam Beauty Ogere Siasia, the octogenarian mother of a former coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia and two other women in Bayelsa State.
Siasia was then in Gambia preparing the country’s team for the U-23 Africa qualifier for 2016 Rio Olympic. Dennis, the younger brother to coach Siasia, confirmed the abduction, lamenting that the hoodlums kidnapped their mother, leaving behind her hypertension drugs and phone. He said: “The abductors have not contacted the family. We have reported to the police. The kidnappers didn’t allow her to take along her drugs. Even if they ask her for our numbers, she will not be able to help because she cannot remember phone numbers. We are praying, hoping that she will be released soon.
“The police commissioner and the command’s Tactical Team have visited the crime scene. The command, in collaboration with other security stakeholders, has launched a manhunt to arrest the killers and rescue the victims. Investigation is on.”
