Nwonyi stated that four persons were beheaded during the invasion of the two villages on May 30, 2023.He said: “On June 2, 2023, the Deygbam cultists invaded Ndele community. The spokesman, Rumuji Police Divisional headquarters mobilised patrol teams to the community.

“Personnel of Rumuji Police Division and local vigilante group, acting on credible intelligence intercepted the cultists and in exchange of gun fire, some of the cultists, Chinomezi aka Nick, Aaro the Armourer, Chinza Orji, Okunna aka Okosa were killed.
