A police Inspector, Ugwor Samuel, attached to a member of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, has reportedly been shot dead. SaharaReporters reporters gathered that incident occurred on Sunday at Umuahia, the state capital. Sources told SaharaReporters that the deceased Inspector was shot dead by his fellow policeman, Inspector Atule Benedict, who is attached to the same lawmaker, Onwusibe.

Meanwhile, the suspect later escaped with his AK-47 rifle before reportedly handing himself over to the state police command in Umuahia, where he was immediately detained.A security source who confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters said the inspector was being detained at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department .
