Police Deploy 491 Officers As Nasarawa By-election Holds Today

The Police Command in Nasarawa State says it deployed 491 personnel for the Nasarawa Central Constituency House of Assembly by-election scheduled for today, Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020.

The statement said the personnel had been thoroughly lectured to be civil in the discharge of their duties and respect the fundamental human rights of the electorate. “Consequently, we want to warn all those who may want to cause problems during this election to steer clear or risk being arrested and decisively dealt in accordance with the provisions of the law.
