The police have confirmed the killing of two persons by bandits in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
However, report emerged that a teenager, Ijarshu Markus, abducted alongside his mother and brother last week from their home in Maiwandu village, had been murdered by his captors. The corpse of the 16-year-old boy was found three days later lying in the bush with two stab wounds on his chest and heart.
According to Mustapha Sanusi, the District Head of Duhu, the death of the village head and that of Ijarshu had caused panic among residents, appealing to the government to increase security in the area.
