“When you perform this duty conscientiously, with dedication, the fear of God and without discrimination on the basis of tribe and religion as well as resist corruption, we will all succeed in this fight against the pandemic.”
A statement issued by the command Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, on Friday in Enugu, said the commissioner gave the warning and consequences of sanctions after inspecting the level of enforcement of the boundary closure with neighbouring states recently.
Abdurrahman led other heads of security agencies in the state to inspect the boundary, even as he addressed all the security personnel on the dangers of compromising their jobs. While addressing the personnel at Amalla/Orokam boundary point between Enugu and Benue States, he frowned at the allegations of compromise and complicity for pecuniary reasons leveled against them.
The commissioner said: “I task you all from various security agencies to maintain utmost professionalism and shun corruption.
