The Police Command in Ogun said it had arrested a 27-year-old man,Godday Robinson, over allegations of rape, stealing and an attempted murder of a 17-year-old girl.
“Upon receiving the report from the good samaritan, the area Commander of Agbara Division, ACP Bolanle Muritala, detailed his men to the scene where the young lady was rescued and taken to a hospital with the help of the public. “The lady added that the suspect who capitalised on the isolated nature of the area, dragged her into the bush where he forcefully raped her, dispossessed her of her Galaxy Samsung phone valued at Nl85,000 and strangled her until she passed out momentarily.
” Police detectives immediately swung into action, traced the suspect and got him arrested in Agbara area.
