Police caution vehicle\u002Dbased porotests could be headed to Ottawa
Thousands gathered in the downtown core during the trucker convoy that landed in Ottawa on Jan. 29, 2022. FILEOttawa police issued a caution Sunday afternoon indicating there was concern that potential vehicle-based protests could be headed to Ottawa in the coming days.
“We continue monitoring for potential vehicle-based protests in or travelling through Ottawa in the coming days,” police said on social media.“Although we do not have specific information to indicate that there will be large-scale demonstrations or protests in Ottawa, the potential for some level of protests exists,” police said.The OFS reminded residents: “There is zero tolerance for unlawful behaviour and vehicle-based demonstrations.
