Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Operations Manager of a new generation bank, Mrs. Ugoanochie, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital. Ugoanochie, who was reportedly abducted during the weekend around the PDP Junction area of the Sanni Abacha Expressway, is said to have come as a surprise to residents of the area considering the high presence of joint security checkpoints along the expressway.

The Nation reports that security sources said the Ugoanochie who hails from Imo State in the Southeast region of Nigeria lived in a residence adjacent to the hideout of the arrested suspected notorious kidnappers, John Ewa popularly known as John Lyon and Emmanuel Agase. But a close police source reportedly said that the bank manager’s abduction might be associated with members of the remaining gang of the “celebrity kidnappers”.
