Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Sokoya has again assured the people of the State of a water tight security during and after the ongoing
The Commissioner, who spoke through the command’s Police Public Relations Officer , Usman Abdullahi, at the weekend, in Jalingo, the State capital, said he had directed his Deputy on operations to ensure that the people celebrate the yuletide without any form of disruption.
Among other measures lined up by the command to forestall a breakdown of law and order during and after the festivity, the commissioner said, includes issuing out secular to all the Area Divisions to protect worship centres. According to him “secular had already been sent to all Area Divisions across the State for them to also ensure that they provide adequate security at the Churches and other places for a successful celebration.”As of the time of filing this report, heavily armed policemen were seen mounting surveillance around some strategic places in Jalingo metropolis and its environs.
