The police in Delta State have arrested 55-year-old suspected gun runner, Ufoma Omene, in the Mosogar area of Ethiope West Local Council of the state.
Omene, who resides at the Jesse Junction area of Sapele town, was arrested at about 11:30 p.m., on June 8, 2024.
Edafe also confirmed there was a gun duel between the Quick Response Squad and two suspected armed robbers at an undisclosed and uncompleted building in the Kwale axis of the state. Abia State Information and Culture Commissioner, Okey Kanu, yesterday, announced the suspension of the Commissioner for Health, Dr Ngozi Okoronkwo, with effect from Monday June 10, 2024.
The Independent National Electoral Commission says a total of 269,992 new voters were registered in the just concluded Continuous Voter Registration in Edo and Ondo.
