The Police in Jigawa State have arrested 25-year-old Sani in Basurka town for allegedly sodomizing 12 under-age children. The suspect has been taken to the CID unit for investigation and will be prosecuted.

The Police in Jigawa State have arrested 25-year-old Sani in Basurka town, Gwaram local government for allegedly sodomizing 12 under-age children. Police spokesman DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen. He said the suspect used to lure his victims with gifts, such as money, sweets and biscuits, mobile phones to play games and videos before sexually assaulting them.

According to him' Police in Basurka town received a report that one Sani of the same address used to lure children and sodomized them' He said after receiving the report, the suspect was arrested and taken to the CID unit, State headquarters for discreet investigation. During the interrogation, the suspect admitted the crime and revealed that he learned the act while staying in Zaria. All the victims were taken to hospital where the medical doctor confirmed they had been abused.
