Lagos State Police Command, yesterday, arrested a police officer, simply identified as Supol Owolabi, attached to the Ogudu Area Command
, for allegedly having carnal knowledge of a teenage girl in his office.
He said investigation had already commenced,with a view to ascertaining the officer’s culpability. He added that the officer involved in the act of the sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl had been arrested. “If found culpable, the officer would be dealt with in accordance with police regulations and the law,” he said.
The officer reportedly called the mother of the girl on June 29, that her daughter’s lost phone had been recovered and the robbers had been arrested, and directed her to send her daughter to his office to collect the phone.
