The Lagos police command says its operatives have arrested five suspects allegedly involved in the trafficking of a two-month-old boy.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos police spokesperson, said in a statement on Saturday that the arrest followed a complaint received about a missing boy. Hundeyin said the mother of the child reported that one Gloria Sunday, a woman, had absconded with her son to an unknown destination on July 11. “Detectives swung into action, which led to the arrest of Gloria Sunday, who during interrogation confessed to selling the baby for Five Hundred Thousand Naira to one Pastor Peter Udoh ‘m’,” the statement reads.“Pastor Udoh, who was subsequently arrested in Ikene Town, Ogun state, admitted reselling the child for One Million, Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira to one Loretta Nelson ‘f’ who was then also apprehended in Festac Town, Lagos.
