The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a 21-year-old man, Isaac Tony, before the Ogba Magistrates’ Court, Ogba, for allegedly possessing SIM cards suspected to have been used for Internet fraud.

It was alleged that the 21-year-old was in possession of 32 SIM cards on December 15, 2022, on Apakan Lane, in the Oshodi area of the state, where he was arrested.

The charges read in part, “That you, Isaac Tony, on December 15, 2022, around 8.40pm on Apakun Lane, Oshodi, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, was found in possession of 32 pieces of GSM SIM cards of various networks, such as MTN, 9mobile, Airtel, suspected to be used for fraudulent practices.”
