Mauricio Pochettino has committed to taking over as Chelsea's next manager.
Pochettino, 51, has been jobless since being fired by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season
He agreed to take over Chelsea in April, but despite the team’s terrible performance, Lampard remained in that position for the remainder of the year. In the summer, Pochettino was supposed to join the squad. Chelsea has had three different managers so far this year; the Champions League champion Thomas Tuchel was fired in September 2022. Graham Potter ruled over 31 games at Chelsea Bridge before Lampard took over as interim manager.
Nonetheless, after spending close to £600 million during the past two transfer windows, Chelsea has had a difficult season. Pochettino will be taking over a team that has drastically underperformed this season and is predicted to finish in the bottom half of the standings. All rights reserved.
