The Interim Management Committee has earned plaudits for the swift manner it meted out punishment to Remo Stars.

Remo Stars were sanctioned by the IMC for assaulting the centre-referee during their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 12 encounter against Gombe United last weekend.The Ikenne club will also pay a fine of N1.25m. “Before we have had cases when one rule applies to clubs from some regions but does not apply to others. Even if the chairman himself has a team, if they go against the rule, they should get punished,” NPFL analyst, Ralph Chidozie-George said.
