Cletus Shurkuk, Plateau state commissioner for health, says the state recorded 2,260 new cases of human immunodeficiency virus infections and 581 deaths in 2023.
According to NAN, the commissioner said 45,835 persons in Plateau state are living with the disease and are on antiretroviral therapy .
