Sequel to the recent violence which occurred in some communities across three Local Government Councils of Plateau State, the Jama’atu Nasril Islam , has called for “calm and insightful resolution” to the violence.
“These are truly worrisome developments which pose serious threats to the efforts of the state government to solidify the gains made through its peace-building activities which have so far delivered impressiveAccording to him, “The JNI views the bloody crises in Bassa and Riyom LGs as an abominable desecration of lives which is against the teaching of Islam.embrace the path of peace and reconciliation”, he admonished.
“Viewing the persistent nature of the bloody conflicts which seem to defy all solutions so far, and it’s increasingly ugly dimensions, we are compelled to advise that in order to find lasting solution and achieve sustainable peace among the communities, it is imperative to look deeply into the underlying cause of these conflicts”, Mudi explained.
