Niger NLC says all necessary arrangements are complete for the smooth implementation of N80,000 new minimum wage in November The Niger State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth implementation of the new minimum wage of N80,000 by November.
This development follows an agreement between the state government and the labour union on October 25th, 2024, aimed at enhancing workers' welfare. The Chairman, NLC , Niger State Chapter, Abdulkareem Idris Lafene who stated this in Minna said the payment of the new wage is sacrosanct across board by the Niger State government this month.
Lafene stated, 'I want to use this opportunity to applaud farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago for his magnanimity to the welfare of the citizens, especially, civil servants, pointing out that the labour would leave no stone unturned to support the state government in its drive to transform the entire state to the next level developmentally'.
