Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday forwarded a bill for the creation of 19 local government development areas to the state House of Assembly for consideration.The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Olawale Fapohunda, said, “The Creation of Local Government Bill, 2021 is the culmination of a process of consultative and inclusive engagement of various communities in the 16 local government areas of the state.
Fapohunda made the disclosure in a statement titled, ‘The Ekiti State Judiciary Bill, 2021 and the Creation of Local Government Bill, 2021.’ The LCDAs are Ado Central, Ado North, Ado West, Ajoni, Araromi, Ekameta, Ekiti South East, Ero, Gbonyin, Ifedara, Ifeloju, Ifesowopo, Igbara-Odo/Ogotun, Ikere West, Ikole West, Irede, Irewolede, Isokan and Okemesi/Ido-Ile.
