The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has awarded a total of N3 million cash prizes to winners of its maiden 'Nigerian Girls Can

The Nigerian Communications Commission has awarded N3 million cash prizes to winners of its maiden ‘Nigerian Girls Can Code’ competition.

At-tabiya Stem School Abuja came first and won N1.5 million cash prize while Federal Government Girls College in Borno got N1 million for second position.Advertisement Akande said the competition was designed to address the challenges of digital inequality in the information communications technology sector.

Umar Danbatta, executive vice-chairman of the commission, said the competition was initiated to empower girls in tech.
