PHOTOS: Jigawa Tests Over 600 Returning Almajiris For COVID-19
A health worker takes a boy’s sample for the COVID-19 test at the isolation centre in Jigawa State.The Jigawa State government has begun the collection of samples of over 600 Almajiris who returned from Kano State recently.
According to the government, the collected samples are to be tested for coronavirus at a private laboratory accredited by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control . Following their arrival in Jigawa, the children were isolated at the National Youth Service Corps camp in Kiyawa Local Government Area of the state.Meanwhile, the government said 69 other Almajiris also repatriated from Gombe, who arrived in Jigawa later than those from Kano, would also be tested after 10 days of being in isolation.Two health workers collecting the samples of some of the Almajiris isolated at the NYSC camp in Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
