Peterside reveals ‘only way’ youths can have their way in 2023 election via politicsngr
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that writing in a recent column, the former Rivers State governorship candidate, tasked youths to “vote in a way that will shape the kind of future they want”.
“The only way the Nigerian youth can translate their demographic advantage to tangible influence is to come out and vote, and vote in a way that will shape the kind of future they want. “Youth in other countries have done it at different times. Young people must take advantage of this opportunity to reshape their country,” Peterside wrote.
Checks by this newspaper on Nigeria’s voters register show that the age group between the ages of 18 and 34 constitutes the largest voting population with 37,060,399, which is 39.65% of the eligible voters, trailed by middle-aged persons between the ages of 35 and 49 which has 33,413,591, 35.75% of eligible electorate in respect of the forthcoming 2023 elections.
