Peter Dutton has accused his Labor opponent in Dickson of using her disability 'as an excuse' not to live in the electorate.
Labor has accused Peter Dutton of dirty tactics after he accused his opponent of using her disability"as an excuse" not to live in the electorate.
But the Home Affairs Minister, who holds the Queensland seat by a notional 2 per cent, didn't accept that, telling The Australian that there were plenty of people living in Dickson with a disability. “A lot of people have raised this with me. I think they are quite angry that Ms France is using her disability as an excuse for not moving into our electorate," Mr Dutton said.
Senior Labor figures have leapt to Ms France's defence against what they labelled a"disgraceful attack". Peter Dutton says people are angry that Ali France is using her disability"as an excuse" not to live in Dickson."Unlike Mr Dutton, who is spending all his time making clear how desperate and out of touch he is, Ms France has been working hard and talking to people in the community about Labor’s plan to fix schools and hospitals."
