Militia attacks and killings have continued without abating in the Chito community of Ukum LGA of Benue State with the latest killing of a drinking joint
DAILY POST recalls the killing of 8 people on Monday and Tuesday as rival militia groups clashed in the area.
He said the killing of the drinking joint operator whom the militia accused of hosting their rival has created tension in the community, adding that the development has made him relocate to Makurdi for fear of being killed, as no one could determine who the next victim would be. According to the eye witness, the militias group have mounted a road block at Agboki settlement area, a development that has made the Sankera -Chito -Vase road impassable, the situation has also created challenges for villagers in moving their farm produce to market as well as hampering free movement of people in the community.
