In a Facebook live interview with PUNCH Online, Yerins said he noticed that the Big Brother show in Nigeria is more about toxicity, rather than the true essence of the game.
“It’s a game show! It’s a social experiment, you try to know people you try to see the positive side of people, you learn people’s characteristics but you don’t want to see that. You want to see the ‘gbas gbos’ and the ships,” Yerin said.
He added, “When I was in the house, one of the housemates, Saskay was crying because there was this eagerness to involve her in Truth and Dare, to show part of herself and show her kissing. “It’s the first week and you’re telling us that we are boring. What do you want us to do? Fly around the house? It’s the first week, we have positive energy and we’re getting to know each other. The eagerness for people to see toxicity in the house was too much.”
According to Yerins, BBNaija is “100% stereotyped”. Explaining further, Yerins said that when he told people he was coming to the show, people took it that he was coming for an immoral show. He, however, hopes that people will see the show as the social experiment that it is.
