In a move to enhance the verification process for military retirees, the Military Pension Board (MPB) has officially transitioned
In a move to enhance the verification process for military retirees, the Military Pension Board has officially transitioned from physical to electronic verification.
According to the Chairman of Military Pensions Board , Air Vice Marshal Paul Irumheson, the shift to electronic verification addresses the security risks associated with travelling, the advanced age of many pensioners, and the high cost of transportation, particularly for those residing abroad. He noted that the pilot was a resounding success, with 1,985 out of 2,000 participants completing the exercise successfully, adding that based on the pilot’s results, the system was further refined to ensure a seamless experience for all users.
He said, “The MPB is committed to ensuring that all retired military personnel are well-informed and adequately prepared to use the new system. Public awareness campaigns and educational programs will be launched to guide pensioners through the electronic verification process.”
